Summer appears to be over here in our corner of the Pacific Northwest. I am always a little sad to see it go but the fall season brings on more of Oregon's famous rain. The air has that delicious aroma of damp earth, pines and just a hint of wood smoke. This beautiful rose, from a bush that has been blooming like crazy all summer long, is not quite as perky as the summer blooms were, but it doesn't seem to mind the extra moisture. I love the way that the raindrops glisten on the rose petals and the leaves, kind of like "seasonal eye-candy"!
