Sweet Little Delicacies

Don't these sweet little emery filled strawberries look good enough to eat?  For those of you who wonder... these are tiny little needle sharpeners. A friend gave me a scrap of her precious Robert Kaufman Radiance fabric, a luscious silk and cotton blend.  I knew instantly that the scrap would become these little vintage inspired items. I made one for my friend, one to keep on hand as a gift and one for me!

Crushing on Farmer's Daugther

As a self admitted FABRIHOLIC... I am always looking ahead to what my very favorite fabric designers have coming out as their future fabric lines.  I have to say that Moda fabrics are my absolute favorites.  Not just because my most favorite designers are affiliated with Moda, but because Moda fabrics are of a higher quality than some of the other companies that I have purchased from.  Quality matters.

I have been anxiously awaiting these luscious fabrics "Farmer's Daughter" fabrics from Lella Boutique, designed by Vanessa Goertzen.  She's one of my all time fave Moda designers and I love everything that she creates.   I am so in awe of this young woman who has such an amazing talent for color and design.  My products made from her various lines have been some of my most successful items in my Etsy shop. What's not to love?!?

I kind of laugh at myself sometimes.  Who get's so excited about fabric? Really! Seriously? But fabric is one of the tools of my trade. How lucky am it to have built my Bungalow Biz using materials that I totally love? And even better, others seem to enjoy them, too!

Hitting the Big Time !

My Etsy shop was recently featured on the blog for  HANDMADE HUNT, a website used by Etsy sellers to see how they are doing among the 1.8 million Etsy sellers.  The blog highlights "unique and interesting craft makers" in an interview format.  I submitted a brief narrative about my shop, Curry Bungalow and received a response asking for me to reply to a number of questions about my shop and my process.  Not being one who is all about shameless self promotion,... I thought long and hard about my responses.  The best part about writing about myself and my shop was that it reminded me how very lucky I am to be able to do what I do and that others enjoy it as well.  You can read about my shop here.  https://www.handmadehunt.com/blog  My shop was featured on October 2, 2017
